That article is essentially why I hate that ESPN posts the most articles
about sports each day. Why are the Pacers going to be a challenge for
the Heat? Because the Pacers are so lame that the Heat will fall asleep
with a lack of star power? Great, so if the Pacers win, it won't be
because they are the better TEAM, it will be because the Heat fell
asleep and got caught.
I am not saying the Pacers will win, and I am not saying that every game
will be close, but the Pacers are the 3rd seed. They have an Olympian
in Danny Granger, and Granger, Hibbert, and West have all been
All-Stars. Psycho T, maybe the most decorated player in UNC history,
and George Hill has a ring. Bottom line, yes there are no 'elite'
players on the Pacers, but the Heat didn't win the championship last
year, and they have 3 'elite' players. Actually 2, I don't count Bosh
elite since he couldn't even get the Raptors in the playoffs. Sometimes
I wonder what it must be like to work for ESPN, do you only have to
watch regional sports teams although you are on a national network?
David West was hardly mentioned, and if you are going to make an
assumption about a team being finesse because you only watch 1 team in
the NBA play, then you are making a mistake especially when the Pacers
have a few hustling goon types in Hansbrough, West, and Amundson.
